NEW DELHI: Royal Challengers Bangalore pipped Mumbai Indians in a bidding war to secure the biggest deal of the inaugural Women’s Premier League auction in India’s attacking batter Smriti Mandhana for a whopping Rs 3.4 crore.
Smriti was also the first player to have come up in the auction.
The explosive batter Richa Ghosh made her way into the RCB squad after being bought for Rs 1.9 crore. Bangalore also bagged Ellyse Perry of Australia for Rs 1.7 crore.
